John Aldred Ambassador Award
John Aldred Ambassadorship Award of Excellence
The John Aldred Ambassadorship Award of Excellence was created by CAREERS: The Next Generation to recognize Albertans that are exemplary promoters and ambassadors for CAREERS’ mission and programs for youth.
The John Aldred Ambassadorship Award is named for John Aldred, a local entrepreneur who started his career as a heavy equipment technician, and went on to form the leading Canadian supplier to the global oil and gas production industry. He is also the founder of the Cadmus Foundation that works to further the development of the trades and education. John served CAREERS as a board director, a role model, and is a great ambassador for our cause. He truly is one of the reasons why CAREERS is where it’s at today. John Aldred, as you may know, founded Enerflex Systems and led it into one of Alberta's highly successful oil and gas industry suppliers. John served as a CAREERS Board member for several years and retired to become a SAIT Board member. In 2011 John was inducted into the Calgary Business Hall of Fame. John Aldred passed away March 2016. His family is notified of award recipients and presentation.
